Rev. Dr. Karen Muenich was installed as Pastor at Heritage Church in October 1999. She has a heart for people and through her teaching and preaching inspires members to grow in their faith and service to the Lord. Karen is a graduate of the University of Phoenix (BA in Management), Fuller Theological Seminary (MDiv), and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (DMin in Pastoral Theology). She is passionate about creating Spirit-filled worship in creative and memorable ways that helpmembers to take the word of God into their own lives and daily practice. She is married to Jerry and they have two married daughters, Stephanie and Stacey, and two granddaughters. Currently, Pastor Karen is moderator of the Presbytery of Grand Canyon.
The Rev. Robert Bigler was born in Iowa and moved to San Diego in 1940. He graduated from San Diego State College and married his wife Elizabeth (Betsy) in 1952. While attending San Francisco Theological Seminary, Bob worked his way through seminary as a Correctional Officer at San Quentin Prison and was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament, August 1955 at First Presbyterian Church in San Fernando, CA. He served in the U.S. Military for 39 years as a Chaplain and retired as a CDR USN Reserve in 1981 and from the Army Reserve as a COL in 1991.
A Certified Hospital Chaplain and Prison Chaplain, Bob serves as a volunteer chaplain for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office. He is the father of five sons and one daughter.
